Cinema Eye Honors - 2012 Awards Categories and Nominees

Awarding Outstanding Achievement in the Crafts of Filmmaking

By

The Cinema Eye Honors are awards given in recognition of excellence in artistry and craft in nonfiction filmmaking. To date, Cinema Eye remains the only international nonfiction award to recognize the entire creative team working on the making of a documentary film. Awards are given for outstanding achievement in the crafts of directing, producing, cinematography, editing, composing and graphic design/animation.

The awards are presented annually in January, for films released during the previous year. Awards for films released during 2011, will be presented at the 5th Annual Cinema Eye Honors on January 11, 2012 at an event at New York City's Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens. This is the second year the awards have been presented at the Museum of the Moving Image.
