At Film Independent's 2013 Spirit Awards ceremony, awards were presented to documentaries in two categories:
- Best Documentary: The Invisible War, directed by Kirby Dick, produced by Tanner King Barklow and Amy Ziering
- Truer Than Fiction Award: : The Waiting Room, directed by Peter Nicks, produced by Linda Davis and William B. Hirsch
The awards were presented in Santa Monica on February 23, 2013. Congrats to the winners and other nominees!
