In case you missed Ross McElwee's Photographic Memory during its theatrical run, you can see it on DVD as of February 15, when it is released by First Run Features
The film is an autobiographical study in which McElwee revisits the life he lead as a young photographer in rural France, working for and mentored by the man who shot local weddings and graduations.
Photographic Memory is an introspective sentimental journey, one that is filled with retrospective wisdom and wonderment.
McElwee hopes that investigating his own youth will help him to understand his son, and to evolve a better relationship with him.
