Contrats! And, bravo!!
The film chronicles the GLBT community's agonizing and ultimately effective struggle to get public and private health administators and drug companies to pay attention to the AIDS epidemic that was sweeping through the U.S.
In accepting the award at IFP's ceremony on November 26, the film's director, David France, and two of its featured activists, Peter Staley and Iris Long, reminded us that there's still work to be done to eradicate the disease that continues its rampage in other parts of the world.
