Following the success of its first 'Hackathon', held in August, 2012, POV is staging a second workshop for select nonfiction storytellers who have projects they'd like to see realized in the interactive digital transmedia realm.
Documentary filmmakers are encouraged to submit projects for 'Hackathon 2,' scheduled to take place during the weekend of January 12-13, 2013, at the New York City headquarters of Huge, a leading digital agency.
For the two-day workshop, POV will pair ten documentarians/storytellers with ten software coders/designers into creative teams that will race against the clock to develop working interactive prototypes for the projects they've submitted.
Documentary filmmakers may submit projects at any stage of development -- from nascent concept to post-production -- but submissions must be made by
December 7, 2012, at 5 p.m., ET.
