Looking for great documentaries to watch over the weekend? Here's today's picks for good viewing, each found on the shelves at my local public library:

  • The Tillman Story - Amir Bar Lev's compelling account of how the family of the heroic Pat Tillman found out the truth about the death of their beloved son by friendly fire. Read my full review.

  • Man On Wire - In this documentary thriller, filmmaker James Marsh investigates the 'artistic crime of the century,' an attention getting performance by Philippe Petit, who walked a tightrope between the then standing Twin Towers. Read my full review.

  • Jesus Camp - Filmmakers Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady follow the evangelistic children of born again Christians to summer camp, where they learn to be activist Soldiers of Christ. Read my full review.

Watch these films over the weekend on DVD, courtesy of your Public Library, which is a great resource for documentary watchers.
