GRANITO Airs on POV and Goes Digital!

GRANITO: How To Nail A Dictator, the compelling documentary about the ongoing efforts to prosecute the former Guatemalan dictator Jose Efrain Rios Montt for the crime of genocide, airs on PBS on June 28, as part of POV's 25th Anniversary season.

Concurrent with the documentary's broadcast premiere, the filmmakers are launching an interactive Web site, entitled GRANITO: Every Memory Matters, designed to allow Guatemalans who suffered through and survived the genocide to post their personal stories about what their harrowing experiences at the hands of Rios Montt's henchmen.

The new Web site is part of an exemplary three-year transmedia campaign developed by filmmakers Pamela Yates, Peter Kinoy and Paco De Onis for the film to reach a broader range of audiences and to have greater impact in the social justice movement. Read more...

Great report..it help us th Guatemalan living abroad to understand what ever happened to our underdeserved people.. sad, bitter but a true…I will be supporting that justice be served..
