Women and Girls Lead in Community Screenings and on PBS

Women and Girls Lead, a multiyear documentaries initiative from ITVS, features nonfiction films about females in leadership positions and those creating change through social engagement in countries around the globe.

Intended to engender social engagement among viewers, the initiative includes community-organized screenings of the Women, War and Peace series created by filmmakers Abigail Disney, Gini Reticker and Pamela Hogan, as well as 50 films scheduled for broadcast on Independent Lens and other PBS programs.

Women and Girls Lead is co-sponsored by the Geena Davis Institute for Gender Equality in the Media, CARE, and the Girl Scouts, among other organizations. Read my full report.
