The 18th annual Sheffield Doc/Fest, Britain's leading documentaries festival, will be take place from June 8 to 12, 2011, rescheduling the five day event from its traditional November time frame. The 2010 festival took place from November 3 to 7.
With a relatively brief period of time to prepare next year's program, Sheffield Doc/Fest organizers are already calling for submissions of feature, medium and short length documentaries of any style or subject produced for television, cinema or online from established and debut filmmakers. Projects produced as part of film school course work are also eligible. Documentaries completed after June, 2010 are preferred, but films completed earlier will also be considered for inclusion in the 2011 official program. The deadline for submissions is Midnight, January 11, 2011.
