Michael Moore’s new documentary, Capitalism: A Love Story, may be his last. Or so suggests CNN.com's Matt Carey, who questioned Moore about an interview in which the filmmaker said that in the future he may focus his storytelling skills on fiction feature films instead of documetaries.
“I’m asking my fellow Americans to join with me to be involved in our democracy. But if people are just going to sit on the bench and just watch everything happen and wait for a Michael Moore or somebody else to do it, I’m not gonna do that anymore. So it’s really going to be up to the audience whether I make any more of these documentaries,” Moore told Carey in Beverly Hills, at the U.S. premiere of Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story.
Capitalism: A Love Story opens in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on September 23, and releases across the nation on October 2. The documentary, about how corporate America's greed is undermining the world's economic well being, had its world premiere at this year's Cannes Film Festival and screened earlier this month at the Toronto International Film Festival.
So what do you think?

I didn’t know he made documentaries. I thought he only made propaganda. A man of the people with his own jet. Doesn’t look like my opinion has a place in your poll.

In “Sicko”, MM portrays a Cuba with free and wonderful Healthcare. Cubans have known and lived with Castro’s impoverished health care system for decades. Only politicians and high military ranks get such care….which is in ONE hospital on ONE floor.
We went into Cuba and actually filmed, first hand, an attempt by a typical citizen to get into the very same hospital the Michael Moore takes his American friends to. Of course, there is NO WAY our man gets in.
Then, we went and filmed the real hospitals that Cuba citizens have to deal with. It is worse than any third-world country you could imagine. It includes several interviews, a Cuban physician in particular, describing the Real Cuban Health Care System. When you see it, you will understand immediately why Michael Moore doesn’t what ANYONE to see this movie (Shooting Michael Moore).
Response to a Short Article: Michael Moore “Silences” New Movie “Shooting Michael Moore” by Jerry Johansen in September 21st, 2009 No CommentSHOOTING MICHAEL MOORE, the movie, is alive and well.
My name is Jerry Johansen. When you see the movie, and I do mean “when”, you will see my name in the credits as one of the sponsors.
Kevin Leffler is working with a Hollywood producer and is in the last phases of getting the movie out. I will not say who or where, because if Michael Moore finds out, he will do whatever he can to stop it and we don’t need the headache.
However, we have premiered the movie in several parts of the country, including a large and predominantly Cuban city in Florida. In “Sicko”, MM portrays a Cuba with free and wonderful Healthcare. Cuban’s have known and lived with Castro’s impoverished health care system for decades. Only politicians and high military ranks get such care….which is in ONE hospital on ONE floor.

In case you were wondering, going to Cuba, filming, interviewing and getting out of the country was done at significant personal risk. What you will see is not someone in the US just talking about it…we were there and filmed it.
Other impressions at other viewings of this film has been the same. We fill the theater, nobody decides to leave during the entire movie, and many other-wise Michael Moore lovers are both shocked and appalled…..and entertained. All the information, interviews, and footage is fully verifiable.
MM has been at his tactics for a while. After you see our interviews with the same people MM interviewed, you be the judge as to whether their judgments about MM are right or wrong.
Kevin Leffler finds other guys like him, who grew up with Michael Moore, and are not the LEAST bit surprised that he is such a deceitful man.
And, for some of you die-hard MM proponents, before you sign me off, see the movie. You actually just might become one of the best promoters of the flick. Honestly.
Hello Duneman!
Of course there’s a place here for your opinion. And I’m glad you’ve taken the time to express it, and to tell us about your film. Where can we see it?
All best,
Jennifer
