The Ninth Media That Matters Film Festival premieres its entire program of socially relevant documentary short films on June 3, 2009 at 7 pm at the School of Visual Arts Theater in New York, with all filmmakers present for a post-screening panel discussion.
The juried program consists of twelve films, each of which is twelve minutes or less in duration. The films cover a wide range of issues. Many are made by first time filmmakers under the age of 21.
The good news for those who can't get to the June 3 screening is that after the premiere, all of these films are added to the Media That Matters archives and can be watched online thoughout the year. Meanwhile, you can watch all the films from previous years.
