Roman Polanski Child Abuse Case In Court Again, With Reference To Doc

Friday May 8, 2009
Based in part on Roman Polanski - Wanted and Desired, the provocative documentary that reveals judicial misconduct in the Oscar-winning director's ongoing child molestation court case, attorney's have moved to have charges against Polanski dismissed. In the scandal-clad 30 year old still unresolved case, the then 44 year old Polanski was indicted for allegedly drugging and raping a 13 year old girl at a photo shoot.

According to CNN, the Los Angeles judge now attached to the long running case has denied Polanski's attorneys' bid that the charges be dropped. The judge ruled that in order to have the case considered, the exiled Polanski must appear be in court in Los Angeles. Now 75 and living in France, Polanski refuses to return to the U.S. That's probably because there's a bench warrant for his arrest as soon as he enters the country.

Now, that's a real life Catch 22, although that title doesn't belong to a documentary.

Watch Roman Polanski - Wanted and Desired to see what the judge has seen, then let us know whether you think the case against Polanski should be dismissed. And, what would you do if you were Polanski?
