Tom Simon and Sarah Teale present a huge humane society alert in Death On A Factory Farm, their documentary about the harrowing treatment of livestock in the United States, where virtually no federal laws regulate conditions in which food animals are bred, raised and slaughtered--and economic efficiency is the prevailing consideration in self-governance.Death On a Factory Farm chronicles an animal rights group, the Humane Farming Association, in a three year undercover investigation of Wiles Hog Farm's (Creston, Ohio) treatment of its critters, and the resulting court case.
This film is hard to watch, but very important to see. Kudos to HBO for making Death On A Factory Farm available to audiences, beginning March 16 from 10 to 11:30 pm ET/PT. Check out the trailer and schedule of additional broadcast times.
