The Children of Agape Sing Out on HBO
The children, age seven to sixteen, are residents of Agape Orphanage in the Natal. They've witnessed their parents and other family members succumb to HIV, but they keep their hopes alive through song--and they sing brilliantly.
The choir's rendition of Oh Happy Day is inspiring and heartbreaking. You can sample it and several traditional Zulu songs on their We Are Together: The Children of Agape CD online.
Better yet, watch this must-see film on HBO or order it on DVD.
