Watch A Festival: The Media That Matters Festival Streams on May 28
If you can't get to the program's world premiere showing on May 28 at NYC's IFC Center, or a second screening on May 30 at Tribeca Cinemas, you'll be able to watch the films online at Media That Matters beginning May 28.
This online watch-a-festival presents you with a great opportunity to see docs about a wide range of pressing social and political issues and, since each film has a link that allows you to add your name to a petition and/or leave comments, to become an active advocate for change. You can also watch shorts that were included in the organization's previous annual online festivals.
The Media That Matters Festival is presented by Arts Engine. Currently celebrating its 10th anniversary, Arts Engine was among the first organizations to recognize digital media's potential to transform filmmaking production and distribution, and it plays an extremely important role in supporting the documentary filmmaking community.
Let these superb shorts inspire you to address an issue that concerns you by making your own media that matters documentary.
