The Grand Jury Award for Documentary Feature went to They Killed Sister Dorothy, directed by Daniel Junge, about the murder of 73 year old Sister Dorothy Mae Stang, a nun and ardant conservationist working in the Amazon.

They Killed Sister Dorothy also won the Audience Award for Documentary Feature.
